Boyle has owned Bluejay Market in Perry, Iowa since 1997. He and his wife Denise have four sons.[1]

In a press release emailed to Ballotpedia, Boyle stated:

Bob states that “government has a moral responsibility to spend as little as possible of the people’s money, as opposed to the exact opposite, which is what our current government is doing.” Bob intends to run his campaign the way he believes government should be run: NO FRILLS! He expects to win by meeting and speaking with thousands of constituents over the next few months. Just as the government should, he will spend as little money as possible to be successful.[2]
