Brian Doherty was a Republican candidate for District 48 of the New York State Assembly. The primary election was on September 14, 2010, and the general election was on November 2.

Doherty was uncontested in the September 14 Republican primary. He was defeated by incumbent Dov Hikind (D) in the general election on November 2. In addition to running on the Republican ticket, Doherty ran on the Conservative Party ticket.[1]
