Campaign themes

Wright's campaign website describes the following campaign themes:

Taxes:

  • Excerpt: "Lower taxes improves the standard of living for all and creates more incentive for people to work, save, invest and pursue entrepreneurship."

Energy:

  • Excerpt: "Oil, gas and coal are good sources of abundant energy. Ohio has a long history of oil and gas production and large reserves of both. Restrictions on oil and natural gas production should be reviewed to allow increased production while still protecting the environment."

Pro-life:

  • Excerpt: "I believe human life begins at conception and strongly oppose taxpayer-funded abortion. Taxpayer dollars should not be used to provide abortions."

Marriage:

  • Excerpt: "Marriage is the union of one man and one woman. I support the Defense of Marriage Act which affirms the right of states not to recognize same-sex marriages licensed in other states."
