I am a life long educator and military veteran having served in the USAF and taught both in the military and civilian sectors. I am running because I want to serve. It’s that simple. While I may be new to politics, I am not new to serving my community and my country. I’m running to bring a balanced, objective and common-sense approach to the legislative process. As such, I believe we need to place service before self in all things we do as elected officials in order to make HD61, and all of Colorado, an amazing place for everyone to live!
  • As a teacher, I know the importance of encouraging and having parents involved in the education of their children. I will work to protect parents’ rights by pressing for academic transparency and classroom funding.
  • I want to reduce burdensome taxes and fees and fight for small businesses allowing entrepreneurship to flourish in our district to create new jobs and strengthen our economy.
  • I will work to ensure that we support our local law enforcement and that these men and women have the resources necessary to do their jobs keeping our community safe.
I am most interested in the areas of public policy that work to keep us safe by supporting law enforcement while also improving our economy by laying the groundwork to attract business to our state. I also am concerned with public education from all angles: the student, the parent and the teacher. We need to work to ensure our schools are the best in the nation. We should also be engaging in public policy that improves health care accessibility for all people. Finally, another area of public policy I am passionate about conserving our environment and working to address water resources in Colorado.
