Dominic Augustin Hall
Fifth Circuit
Dominic Augustin Hall was a federal judge on the United States Circuit Court for the Fifth Circuit. He received a recess appointment by President Thomas Jefferson on July 1, 1801 and was nominated on January 6, 1802. He was confirmed by the Senate on January 26, 1802, and received commission that same day. He served until the court was abolished on July 1, 1802.
District of Orleans
Dominic Augustin Hall was also a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Orleans. He was nominated by President Thomas Jefferson on November 30, 1804. He was confirmed by the Senate on November 30, 1804, and received commission on December 11, 1804. He served until the court was abolished on April 30, 1812.
District of Louisiana
Dominic Augustin Hall was also a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of Louisiana. He was nominated by President James Madison on May 27, 1812. He was confirmed by the Senate on May 28, 1812, and received commission on June 1, 1812. He resigned for a short time on February 22, 1813.
Dominic Augustin Hall served again on the United States District Court for the District of Louisiana. He was nominated by President James Madison on May 29, 1813. He was confirmed by the Senate on June 1, 1813, and received commission that same day. He served until his death on December 19, 1820.
