The city of Charlotte, North Carolina, held elections for mayor and city council on November 3, 2015. A primary took place on September 15, 2015. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was July 17, 2015.[1] In the District 3 race, incumbent LaWana Mayfield defeated Rosa Hodge-Mustafa and Warren F. Turner in the Democratic, while Eric Wayne Netter was unopposed in the Republican primary. Mayfield defeated Netter in the general election.[2][3][4]
