|- District 53 resident should vote for me because I believe in a woman's right to make her own reproductive choices. Supporting individual freedom is a core Maine value and I believe that the right to access appropriate medical care and make one's own medical decisions is a human right.
- Planning for Maine's future requires the ability to face the fact of global climate change and to meet its challenges realistically and with the determination to find solutions. As our country moves toward energy independence, we have the opportunity to lead the country in developing technologies and practices that help our nation to meet its goals and also help our state develop economically.
- A vote for me is a vote that protects our democracy. I will support our democratic institutions, support the rule of law and the right of all Maine citizens to vote and to have their vote counted. A vote for my opponent is a vote for the party that is denying the validity of elections that don't turn out the way they want them to turn out - a party that tried to have votes in many states thrown out, so that the state legislatures could decide the outcome instead of the voters. I trust and support our election processes in Maine and would never try to erase your vote. I

3. To provide information to constituents and to listen to constituent feedback.
4. To cooperate with legislators who are independent or of other parties when it will benefit the people of Maine.
5. To uphold the state and federal constitutions and the liberty of the people of Maine.

To uphold civil rights and human rights and to prevent discrimination against anyone because of their race, national origin, native language, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, marital status, pregnancy, citizenship, genetic information or other characteristic protected by law or common decency.
