Houston was a Democratic candidate for District 26 in the Michigan State Senate in the November 2, 2010, state legislative elections. Houston was defeated in the August primary by David Robertson.[4]
2008
In 2008, Houston won the Democratic primary for District 26 of the Michigan House of Representatives. Houston lost in the general election in November 2008.[5]
