The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 10, 2014. Kathleen G. Richards defeated Anthony "Tony" Salvatore in the Democratic primary, while incumbent Christie Carpino was unopposed in the Republican primary. Carpino defeated Richards in the general election.[1][2][3]
