Collapse all
|Brandon decided to run for office for the same reason he became an engineer, to help solve the big problems that face society. His goal is to help build an economy and government that works for us all, which will require long-term vision and planning. In the engineering world, decisions must be made in order to solve the problems of today, while withstanding the test of time. If something Brandon designs is not still safe and functional in fifty years, he sees that as a failure, and this is the mentality he will bring our state government.
- Connecticut has many longstanding structural problems that won't be solved over night. We need to new people with fresh ideas in order to solve these issues. As an engineer, Brandon analyzes and solves complex problems on a daily basis. He will bring an analytical approach and problem-solving experience to state government.
- Even though he is running for office, Brandon says he is an engineer and not a politician. Brandon is an independent thinker who will make decisions based on facts and data, not on political pressures.
- We must build an economy and government that works for us all. Working people in this state are struggling to get ahead due to high cost of living, inadequate job prospects, and a government that fails to solve the big problems. Our state can be the best place to live in the country if we start making sound investments in our infrastructure and solving our structural problems.
The coronavirus is testing our current healthcare system like never before. Hundreds of thousands of people in Connecticut are losing not just their jobs, but also their health insurance. We are seeing shortages of basic supplies and medications that put all of us at risk. We must create a system in which no one loses their health insurance due to job loss. We must also begin to produce and manufacture medical supplies, antibiotics, and prescription medications here in Connecticut instead of relying on foreign suppliers.

Scorecards
A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.
Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
