Clark attended Drake University, receiving a Juris Doctorate degree. She also earned a Bachelor's in Law, Society, and Politics from Drake University.[1]

Clark ran in the 2012 election for Iowa House of Representatives District 39. Clark ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012. She was defeated by Jake Highfill (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012. Highfill defeated District 69 incumbent Erik Helland in the Republican primary.[2][3]
