|- CRIME: After decades of declining crime in our cities, unwise and unbalanced attacks on our law enforcement officers by politicians have sparked an unprecedented rise in violent crime. Moreover, the most vulnerable are suffering the most. Women, the poor, the elderly, those suffering from mental health issues, the young abandoned by our education bureaucracy make up the vast majority of new victims.
- ECONOMY: The foundation of security, fairness and progress in our society depends on real economic stability and growth. Printing money has never worked out long term, and we need to focus on building a diverse, sustainable economic foundation in Minnesota.
- EDUCATION: Minnesota has long been viewed as a leader in quality primary, secondary and post-secondary education. Sadly, ideologues and special interests now threaten this status. We need to recommit ourselves to high quality public education and strong support for choice in alternative education choices. Moreover, we need to make the University of Minnesota system the envy of the world in terms of cost competitiveness and quality.
