Campaign themes

2014

Habrock's campaign website highlighted the following issues:[4]

Hands off my gun Mr. President!

  • Excerpt: "The right to bear arms is a fundamental right. It’s not only part of our heritage, it prevents crime too! I’ll never surrender our 2nd Amendment rights."

Big Government is Getting Bigger

  • Excerpt: "Americans are more concerned than ever about the future of our economy and the size of government. They are right. As a nation, we simply can't afford to continue borrowing 43 cents out of every dollar we spend. The Oklahoma state budget is mushrooming with hundreds of millions in new spending each year. Just talking about smaller government at campaign time isn’t enough. I will vote that way too."

Our Values are our Foundation

  • Excerpt: "My grandfather was a pastor. I grew up in his church. He was a simple man who taught me profound things. Some people want to wipe away our values. I will fight for them. I am proudly pro-life and support traditional marriage."

Want a Better Future for our Kids? Improve our Schools

  • Excerpt: "I’m a product of Tecumseh Public Schools. We must support our teachers and local schools. Competition in education will drive innovation and improvement. I strongly believe in arts and music education, gifted and talented programs and other enrichment programs that help our students reach their highest potential."

No One Cares More About Economic Growth Than Me – I Started My Own Small Business!

  • Excerpt: "Recently I left a comfortable job in the corporate sector to strike out on my own and start a social media and marketing business. All boats rise with higher economic tides. We must check job killing taxes and regulations. Much of the government intervention we see in our economy today is a payout to special interests or counterproductive meddling that stifles competition, innovation and growth."

Cut Taxes - Period

  • Excerpt: "Government is too big. Taxes are too high. I will vote to cut them."
