Marty Knollenberg (Republican Party) was a member of the Michigan State Senate, representing District 13. Knollenberg assumed office on January 1, 2015. Knollenberg left office on January 1, 2019.

Knollenberg (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Michigan State Senate to represent District 13. Knollenberg lost in the general election on November 6, 2018.

Knollenberg is a former Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing District 41 from 2007 to 2012. He previously served as an Oakland County commissioner from 2002 to 2004 and as Oakland County Parks and Recreation commissioner from 2004 to 2006.

Knollenberg's earned his bachelor's degree in history from Albion College in 1986. Knollenberg's father, Joe Knollenberg, represented Michigan's 9th Congressional District from 1993 until 2009.[1]

Elections for the Michigan State Senate took place in 2014. A primary election was held on August 5, 2014, and a general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was April 22, 2014. Cyndi Peltonen defeated Ryan Fishman in the Democratic primary. Five candidates faced off in the Republican primary; Marty Knollenberg won, with Rocky Raczkowski finishing second. Knollenberg defeated Peltonen in the general election.[3][4][5][6]

Knollenberg won re-election to the District 41 seat in 2010. He had no primary opposition. He defeated Ed Spillers (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[7][8]
