|Melissa grew up in Maine within a family of small business owners who built businesses from the ground up. She saw what it took to start and develop a business and, in turn, is dedicated to supporting small businesses, which are the vital carriers of the economy in Chester County.
She earned a Bachelor of Science while working in Boston, Massachusetts, at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Proceeding to work for architectural firms as a designer, owner's representative, and architectural representative in her chosen field of corporate design.
As a community outreach partner, Melissa collaborates with diverse individuals, from those involved in equine therapy to those pursuing vocational education. Melissa is the Chair of the Historic Architectural Review Board (HARB) and Liaison to – Planning and Zoning in Charlestown Township. Pennsylvania Farm Bureau member.- PEOPLE FIRST- The voice of the People should become the actions of those elected. Many of our citizens have continued to struggle for years now, with the high cost of living. The State Representative is elected to understand and facilitate for current and long-term needs of communities. Prioritizing and protecting the citizens.
- Pro Business. Tax Reform- needs acceleration. The businesses that create our economy, the jobs, must have the ability to be competitive. We are in need of increasing the skilled workforce, this knowledge planning needs to align directly across the workforce gap, into our industry and businesses.
- Education - Students and Parents First, results for tax dollars spent and school choice. Expand and improve the educational options in technical fields.
Education - Students first. Tax dollars should directly correlate to student outcomes. Vocational and community education needs to be affordable. Strengthen access and increase the education to immediate industry and job needs, while planning for the new and emerging markets within our businesses.
