Stephanie Liggio was born in New York, New York. She earned a high school diploma from St. Barnabas High School, an associate degree from Berkeley Business College in 1992, a bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2000, and a graduate degree from Baruch College in 2010. Liggio's career experience includes working in business development.[1]

She earned a bachelor’s in Communications Studies from University Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2000, a Master’s of Science degree in Marketing from Baruch College in 2010, and completed a Sports Management Certificate from Iona College in 2013. Her career experience includes working in the Real Estate Sector for 20 years between Mortgage Sales and for 19 years in Title Insurance Sales and Development. She has been affiliated with various
Real Estate groups for networking and community involvement.- There are many of us that are frustrated by policy and
politics and feel the need for a change. I am confident I can affect that change in a positive fashion for District 83 as well as New York State. I see this as a term of service to the community and truly hope to inspire more citizens to be involved and active within the community and across the state. The vision is to continue to hold Town Hall style events to speak with the people and listen to the issues and the solutions that We The People strive for. I encourage anyone that would like to Volunteer in this effort to reach out. There is always room at a roundtable for vision, ideas and positive attributes. I look forward to standing shoulder to
shoulder with the community. - The pertinent issues to focus on: Crime which is affected by the Bail Reform Act; Immigration which affects how our budget dollars are allocated; Energy, Education, Budget and the Economy. There is also the issue of government role in our lives and where that limit should be.
- Bringing community together is vital. When we have conversations on issues, we find that we have more in common and find common ground to move forward. Having gatherings in person and on zoom to have these conversations will be an important component to knowing how the community views each issue and how to resolve the issue.
There is also the matter of children having access to tablets and phones that make traditional learning not as interesting. Working with the various education styles and formats to engage students and have Parental input will be key to creating a more robust climate for learning.
Listening and hearing are not the same. Listening is when you hear from the perspective of the constituent,
Understanding is taking what is presented and formulating resolutions that are meaningful.
