Thomas Burch
Thomas Burch (Democratic Party) was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 30. He assumed office in 1979. He left office on January 1, 2023.
Burch (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Kentucky House of Representatives to represent District 30. He lost in the Democratic primary on May 17, 2022.
Biography
Burch's professional experience includes working as a production control manager for General Electric Corporation. He served as a petty officer in the United States Navy Reserve from 1952 to 1956 and in the United States Navy from 1948 to 1952. Burch has five children. He has been a member of the Brooklawn Youth Services Board, co-founder of Day Spring, and a member of the Home of the Innocents, Kentucky Domestic Violence Association, Kentucky Organ Donor Council, Kentucky Welfare Reform Coalition, Kosair Children's Hospital, Lions Foundation, and the National Organization for Women.[1]

Elections for the Kentucky House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Incumbent Tom Burch ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, while Brian L. Krueger ran unopposed in the Republican primary. Burch was unchallenged in the general election. Krueger was disqualified after his residency was challenged in court.[6][7][8][9]

Burch won re-election in the 2012 election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 30. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 22, 2012, and defeated Aaron L. Wilson (R) in the general election on November 6, 2012.[10][11]
2010
Burch's opponent in the November 2 general election was Republican candidate Aaron Wilson. According to official results, Burch defeated Wilson by a margin of 9,433 to 3,600.[12]
