Liskey ran in the 2012 election for Oregon House District 56. Liskey was defeated by Gail Whitsett in the Republican primary on May 15. No Democratic candidates filed for election. The general election took place on November 6, 2012. Incumbent Republican William Garrard did not seek re-election.[1]
