William Courtney was a Democratic candidate for District 23 in the New Jersey General Assembly in the November 3, 2009, state legislative elections.[1]

Courtney ran in the 2009 election for New Jersey General Assembly District 23. Courtney was bracketed with Tammeisha Smith. They were defeated by Republican incumbents John DiMaio and Erik Peterson in the general election on November 3, 2009. Courtney and Smith were unopposed in the Democratic primary election on June 4, 2009.[2][3]
