Lamar R. Thomas, Sr. was a 2014 Independent candidate for District 115 of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
Thomas was removed from the ballot on August 20, 2014, after Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court Judge Kevin Brobson ruled that Thomas made a mistake on his nomination papers when he did not name a "committee to fill vacancies." The committee is used to pick a new candidate if Thomas could not run for office.[1]

Elections for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on May 20, 2014. The general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 11, 2014. Maureen Madden was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while David C. Parker defeated Anthony Diecidue, Jacquelyn Leonard and Pete Begley in the Republican primary. Lamar R. Thomas, Sr. (I) was removed from the ballot before the general election. Madden was defeated by Parker in the general election.[2][3][4]
