Expand all | Collapse all

I'm a former kindergarten teacher, a former environmental researcher who studied water, I'm a current beekeeper, a science fiction author (Mandated Happiness), and I've led Our Revolution Texas as the Statewide Coordinator, where I advocated for healthcare as a human right, protecting our environment, and more.
Healthcare is my number one issue. Texas needs to expand Medicaid and move towards a truly universal system (we don't necessarily have to wait for DC). We must stop the climate crisis, which we can do by investing in Texas' wind farms. Texas already generates more power from wind than from coal, so it's just a matter of taking it to the next level. We must also protect our schools from privatization, boost pay and support for teachers, make it easier for them to unionize, and end the school to prison pipeline.
