  • Mike Pence voted against H.R.2454 - the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009, which, among other things, proposed "establishing a cap-and-trade system for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and setting goals for reducing such emissions from covered sources by 83% of 2005 levels by 2050."[1]
  • Mike Pence voted for H.R.3409 - the Stop the War on Coal Act of 2012, which, among other things, proposed amending "the Clean Air Act (CAA) to prohibit the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from promulgating any regulation concerning, taking action relating to, or taking into consideration, the emission of a greenhouse gas (GHG) to address climate change. Excludes GHGs from the definition of 'air pollutant' for purposes of addressing climate change."[2]
