John Tilley
John Tilley (b. December 25, 1968) is a former Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives, representing District 8 from 2006 to December 2015. He resigned after he was appointed by Gov. Matt Bevin (R) to be secretary of the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet.[1]
Tilly's professional experience includes working as a Partner in the law firm of Kemp, Ison, Horton, Tilley & Hollan, Limited Liability Partnership.

The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was January 28, 2014. Incumbent John Tilley ran unopposed in the Democratic primary and was unchallenged in the general election.[2][3][4]
2012
Tilley won re-election in the 2012 election for Kentucky House of Representatives District 8. He ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on May 22, 2012, and defeated Max Sturdivant, Jr. in the general election on November 6, 2012.[5][6]
2010
Tilley won re-election to the 8th District Seat in 2010 with no opposition. He received 8,597 votes.
Tilley was unopposed in the May 18 Democratic primary.
2008
On November 4, 2008, Tilley was re-elected to the 8th District Seat in the Kentucky House of Representatives with no opposition.[7] He raised $24,799 for his campaign.[8]
