Bill Jackson is a former Republican member of the Georgia State Senate, representing District 24 from 2007 to 2017.

Jackson did not seek re-election to the Georgia State Senate in 2016.

Jackson served Chairman of the Columbia County Board of Education, in the Georgia House of Representatives from 1979 to 2002, and on the State Board of Corrections from 2006 to 2007.

Jordan was unopposed in the Democratic primary, while incumbent William S. Jackson was unopposed in the Republican primary. Jordan was defeated by Jackson in the general election.[7][8][9]

On November 4, 2008, Jackson won re-election to the Georgia Senate from Georgia's 24th Senate district. Jackson ran unopposed in the general election, and he received 64,786 votes.[14] Jackson raised $75,870 for his campaign.[15]
