Robert Morris (New Jersey)
Robert Morris was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He was nominated by President George Washington on December 17, 1790. He was confirmed by the Senate on December 20, 1790,[1] and received commission that same day. He was reassigned on February 13, 1801.
Robert Morris was reassigned to the United States District Court for the Western District of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New Jersey on February 13, 1801. He was reassigned on July 1, 1802.
Robert Morris was reassigned to the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey on July 1, 1802. He served until his death on June 2, 1815. Morris was succeeded in this position by William Sanford Pennington.
