Jose Plasencia
Jose Plasencia was a candidate for District 4 representative on the El Paso City Council in Texas. He was defeated in the general election on May 6, 2017.
Although city council elections in El Paso are officially nonpartisan, Plasencia identified as a member of the Green Party at the time of his 2017 candidacy.[1]
Biography
At the time of his 2017 run for office, Plasencia was a student and worked at Fannin Elementary School, La Fe Prep School, and YMCA Bowling. He has served as president of the El Paso Institute of Chess and vice president of the El Paso Chess Academy.[1]

Sam Morgan and Shane Haggerty defeated Diana Ramos and Jose Plasencia in the general election for the District 4 seat on the El Paso City Council.[2]
