Candidate Connection

Richard L. Patrick participated in Ballotpedia's candidate survey on March 29, 2018. The survey questions appear in bold, and Richard L. Patrick's responses follow below.[2]

What would be your top three priorities, if elected?

1) Economic Development

2) Lower Personal and Business Taxes
3) Higher Paying Jobs[3][4]

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? Why?

Taxes, as they need to be lowered for business and the citizens to attract higher paying industrial and manufacturing jobs in West Virginia. Education in West Virginia needs to be re-structured so as to have more money to put towards better educating our young people and building a stronger work-force. Jobs, West Virginia needs to work harder to attract industry and manufacturing so our children will not have to leave the State for better paying jobs and the State tax base will grow. Healthier State because we are one of the top States in the Nation for the number of West Virginians of working age on Social Security Disability.Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; invalid names, e.g. too many[4]
