- I will commit to good government oversight, making sure that the state does not encroach upon our ability to live the best life that we can.
- I will ensure that our children have a quality education and learn about the fundamentals of civic engagement. I also want to make sure that children learn about art, music, and literature and have creative outlets because I believe that the arts (for example, jazz music) stimulates critical, out-of-the-box thinking, which is good for children and society. Parents should also have a genuine choice in their children's education, and I will work to provide this.
- Small businesses and the people who own them are diverse and important. I will ensure that they can thrive. I will look out for them and ensure that unnecessary regulations do not burden them.
