Allen Paul (b. March 30, 1945) is a Republican member of the Indiana State Senate, representing District 27. He was first elected to the chamber in 1986.
Paul earned his B.A. from Parsons College. His professional experience includes working as a Consultant and Vice President of Innovative Industries, Incorporated. He served in the United States Army and as an Officer in the Indiana National Guard Reserve.

Legislation
Paul introduced S 584 in 2011, which is known as the "buy local" bill. The legislation would allow local governments to select "local" companies for public works contract in certain scenarios where a non-local company has a lower bid. The rules stipulated by the bill require a local bid to be within:
- 5 percent of a non-local bidder for contracts $50,000 or less
- 3 percent of a non-local bidder for contracts between $50,000 and $100,000
- 1 percent of a non-local bidder for contracts $100,000 or more
The bill advanced past the Commerce & Economic Development Committee, Indiana State Senate on February 14, 2011. In supporting his bill, Paul said, "Hoosiers in Senate District 27 have found that cities like Indianapolis and Cincinnati have large, national businesses who often submit lower contract prices to gain the upper-hand in area projects."[1]
