  • We need to improve the MBTA and public transportation. We need to invest in the MBTA to make it affordable, reliable and safe. We can raise revenues by passing the Fair Share Amendment. We can electrify the commuter rail to make service more reliable and cut down on wait times and travel times. We can invest and expand Regional Transit Authorities to better connect residents to services within their communities by cutting down on the need for a personal vehicle and cutting emissions. We can create a fairer, simpler fare system that unifies all of the public transportation networks in the state and makes it more affordable to use.
  • We need to continue to push back on climate change and save our environment. We need to continue to invest in the expansion and manufacturing of renewable technology to create jobs here in Massachusetts and reach our statewide goal of 100% renewable energy. We need to pass the next generation of building codes with Net Zero Energy Codes. We also need to continue to work for Environmental Justice and include the communities most impacted by climate change in the solutions to solve it.
  • We need to reform and invest in education from child care through college. We need to invest in early education and childcare to make them more accessible and affordable. Need to reform standardized testing and end MCAS. We need to invest and expand our Vocational/Technical schools. We also need to invest and expand in our community colleges to be tuition free.
Coming from a background in Architecture and design, public transportation and the build environment are my most passionate issues. Working how we can improve the daily lives of residents with access to more amenities in their community. Also by looking at how transportation and buildings affect our carbon emissions and how we can decrease those over time.

  • We can do better in Massachusetts to actually address the challenges we face and take advantage of the opportunities before us to leave a better future for the younger generations.
  • Public transportation is important to a successful economy. We can make the MBTA affordable, reliable and safe
  • We can deal with the effects of climate change, and prevent further destruction of the environment through 100% renewable goals; and simple and effective energy building codes
I am passionate about public transportation and how we can actually invest in our public infrastructure so that it is affordable, reliable and safe. I am also passionate about addressing the challenges of climate change and how we can use public transportation and better building codes to actually lower our carbon emissions to improve the health of our environment. I also believe we need to do a better job expanding ballot access to make voting simpler, easier and actually a vehicle for citizens to have their voice heard. Lastly, we need to work to breakdown the systemic racism in all areas of policy and make sure we not only address it in new legislation but also in passed legislation and fix it.
I believe the core responsibilities for someone in elected office are to meet and listen to their constituents and to pass legislation that actually works to solve the challenges we face and improve the lives of the residents of their district.

When you are in constant contact with the people in your community you will learn what their greatest concerns are and what they want to see done in the State House. This will also allow you to discuss what you have worked in the state house and help educate the public on some the major issues that have legislation drawn up and build support within the district.

When working to pass good legislation it show you are reacting to what you have heard from your community and are working to make the changes to policy that will help them. It allows you to show your values and your goals for what we can achieve in our society.
The legacy I would like to leave is working to improve the lives of everyone in Massachusetts. I want to work for everyone and work to make a difference that lasts for generations. I also hope to inspire other young people to run for office. We need more young people stepping up to run for office and working to make a difference in their communities. We need to also support them and allow them to speak their mind.
I was a referee for the local youth Flag Football league. I had it for 5 years where I eventually became the Student Referee Coordinator that oversaw the gameday operations of the league and the referees for the games. It helped me build up responsibility and oversight of a team of people to work together and problem solve as issues came up during games.
It is really hard for me to pick one. I understand this maybe a cop out but I love to read. I read to learn about history and try to connect to today. I read a lot of books and it is hard for me to pick one for an extended period of time. One recent book that had a profound impact was "We Were Eight Years in Power" By Ta-Nehisi Coates. Viewing Obama's presidency through a Black man's lens really made me change my perspective of history in order to learn.
The most important difference between the State Senate and the State House of Representatives in Massachusetts is the bills that are passed from each. The State Senate has passed numerous progressive bills that would make a huge difference for the residents of Massachusetts, but they have stalled just as often in the House. Many bills are held up until the end of session and then die waiting or the House passes a very watered down version of the bill that is not as successful as it could be. I am running because we need to get these bills passed in the House where legislation dies. Many candidates this year want to change the culture and pass the great legislation we need for the people of Massachusetts
Massachusetts, like many places in this country, is facing a growing list of challenges over the next decade.

First, we are facing a serious challenge with young people and their financial security. It starts with the out of control costs of college, which is required for many good, well paying jobs in today's economy. We also see the fast rising cost of housing that is out of reach for many young people if they work full time. That compounded with the having to pay back student loans really restrains young people from starting families and being able to provide for their own children.
Second, our lack of funding for public infrastructure. We have underfunded our public transportation for years and this has led to numerous failures and safety problems on the MBTA. We need to invest in our public transportation to help commuters be able to go into the city safely and efficiently. It will also help decrease our emissions which leads to my third greatest challenge.

Climate Change. We need to make sure future generations are able to live on a healthy planet in a healthy environment. We need to address these challenges now to make sure we actually make the changes in time. We have 10 years to change to make drastic changes and here in Massachusetts we have a lot of jobs and personal property at risk from being wiped out.
I favor shifting the redistricting process in Massachusetts to an independent citizen council similar to Arizona or California. Politicians and legislators should not choose their voters, voter should choose their representatives. Especially in our area of the state we have some crazy shaped districts that were Gerrymandered to keep certain people in those seats. An example is my district that runs through 3 towns but only 1 town is entirely in the district and my hometown has 3 State Representatives splitting it up which is unacceptable for a town of 25,000.
