Peggy L. Bryant was a judge for the Ohio Tenth District Court of Appeals in Franklin County, Ohio. She was appointed by former Governor Dick Celeste in 1987 and retired from the court on August 1, 2013.[1][2][3][4] On August 7, 2013, Bryant passed away after losing a long battle with breast cancer.[5][6]

Education

Bryant received her undergraduate degree from Miami University in Ohio and her J.D. degree from the Ohio State University College of Law in 1976.[1]

Career

Bryant began her legal career as a lawyer and partner with the firm of Alexander, Ebinger, Fisher, McAlister & Lawrence. In 1985, she joined the Franklin County Municipal Court and worked there until 1987, when she became a judge for the Ohio Tenth District Court of Appeals.[1]

2012 election

Bryant was re-elected to the Ohio Tenth District Court of Appeals after running unopposed on November 6, 2012.[7][8]
