My parents are my North Star, they are the quintessence of what a relationship and marriage is. Love, commitment, devotion, and compromise is what they have displayed over the years. My parents ability to overcome any challenges that life has thrown at them and to persevere has both shaped me as a person and inspired me in life.
Practical, Pragmatic, Honest, Empathetic, and has a Heart.
To not only make the best decisions for the community, but to take risks for the community that have high reward potential for everyone.
To ensure everyone is fed, clothed, sheltered, educated, and given the opportunity to fulfill the American Dream.
I remember the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster in 1986. I was very young at the time, but I recall watching the footage and hearing my parents discuss it. It was an epic tragedy and one that has stayed with me since childhood.
I worked at Wendy's in middle school and high school, I stayed on for 4 years before taking a job at a Borders Bookstore.
Gravity's Rainbow, because it's an undisputed and misunderstood masterpiece
No, many of our best and brightest legislators some from areas outside the political system that breathes independent free thinking philosophies, ideas, and purity to government.
Infrastructure, implementation of a greener economy, stability in public education, and environmental protections.
Civil debate, fused understanding, and reasonable compromise that benefits the states communities as a whole.
It's imperative to build relationships across the aisle and the chambers, majority votes are contingent upon majority agreement. Without civility amongst the legislative bodies infighting can curtail legislative progress.
It must be transparent and non-partisan. Redistricting should be fair across the board and done by an independent special commission that reflects the diversity of our communities.
I have deep admiration for many legislators both past and present, but my focus is on being myself, working with the other talented legislators on Cape Cod and in Massachusetts, and being the best representative for my community.
The thought has not even crossed my mind, I'm all in on the State Representative seat.
I've learned so much about the people in my district through conversation, every discussion is significant, they're all personal to me, some carry more of an emotional weight, but every single person is equally as important.
