|My passion is protection of citizen’s rights and assurance that US and Arizona Constitutions are not diluted or corrupted through administrative overreach or bureaucratic regulations. Arizona faces many domestic challenges: from water shortages, education transformation, housing crisis, to public health degradation from ignored mental health issues and reduction of law enforcement availability and support. I am running this Primary as a WRITE-IN candidate due to late finalization of Redistricting boundaries after the 2021 Census and chaos in our Secretary of State Department’s candidate portal which was actually shut down for months in early 2022. My goal as the next Representative for Legislative District 21 is to Maintain Arizona Sovereignty by being a legal watchdog – Restore Community Health through Mental Health Expansion– Establish Election Integrity with oversight and accountability. Write In Deborah McEwen.
- Let's maintain Arizona Sovereignty by rejecting National cookie-cutter laws that don't fit our diverse Arizona culture and threaten our civil rights and freedoms. Do you want lobbyists from New York deciding your health care options? How about California’s liberal justice system overreaching into Arizona towns releasing dangerous criminals back into the streets? Only Arizonan’s know what’s best for Arizona.
- Struggling families and mandated lockdowns for our children, parents, veterans and employees have traumatized and depressed us. It’s time to expand Mental Health opportunities for all Arizonans. Bring divinity back into your life. Bring responsibility back into your home. Bring empathy and pride back into your community. Bring honor and success back into the state. We could all use more coping skills and support systems.
- Establishing trust in our Election Process is paramount if we are to have successful and meaningful elections. The establishment of an Arizona Election Assistance Commission to comply with HAVA to adopt minimum standards on voter education, registration, and ballots would greatly improve standardization between counties and communities within the state to create more fair and transparent voting experiences.

|She was raised in Iowa where the heartland afforded her a small town upbringing with conservative Christian values. Her father was a prison warden and mother was an elementary school teacher. Deborah attended college in Pennsylvania and received a degree in Sociology and went to work with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Her Criminal Justice career spans 32 years in Forensic Identification work, testifying in court, training law enforcement officers, supervising laboratory departments, performing Quality Assurance inspections and Forensic Laboratory Accreditation. Deborah volunteers for the Arizona Convention of States as a Grassroots Coordinator. She recently joined the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 131 in Green Valley. Building off her Quality Assurance background, Deborah's goal is to fill the Arizona LD2 House seat with a representative that holds people accountable and represents all American constituents, not just special interest groups.
- Accountability - A huge task to complete every day on the job because it involves being conscientious about every citizen's rights. It involves following laws and regulations and not making any new laws that complicate the lives, jobs, education, health or sustainability of our constituents. Accountability also involves protecting your jobs, defending your right to work, and building a business environment to create long-term, high-paying jobs.
- Traditional Values - Respecting the sanctity of life, the rights of parents to choose educational choices for their children's curriculum, and opportunities of school choice for students is paramount to developing moral, ethically healthy, self-respecting young adults with sound mental health and ability to rationalize. As Americans get back to traditional values and the institution of the family they will reap the benefits of this successful culture instead of one of dependency and mediocrity.
- Security - From metropolitan areas with high crime rates to rural areas with inroads of incursion. There is no denying that Arizona has a problem with border security and overall community policing. Increased manpower and technology are required to halt crime while law revisions and enforcement are required to fairly deal with the corruption, the balance of migrant workers and safe family immigration.
