I’m Ebie Lynch, and I’m running for Lieutenant Governor of California. I believe in the power of service, community, and everyday people. My journey has been shaped by many roles, as a veteran, nurse, mother, labor advocate, and community worker. Each of these experiences has deepened my commitment to fighting for those whose voices are often left out of the conversation.

As a veteran, I know the meaning of sacrifice and discipline. As a nurse, I’ve seen firsthand how access to quality healthcare can change and save lives. As a mother, I understand the urgency of building a future where our children can thrive. And as a labor advocate, I’ve stood shoulder to shoulder with workers demanding fairness, dignity, and a chance at a better life. My Christian faith keeps me grounded and reminds me daily that leadership is a form of service. I’m not running for office to play politics, I’m running to make a difference. I want to expand opportunities, strengthen our healthcare system, and foster conversations that heal and unite our communities rather than divide them.

I believe California’s best days are ahead of us but only if we lead with compassion, courage, and conviction. I invite you to join me in building a California that works for everyone.
  • Strengthening support systems and opportunities for California’s veterans. As a veteran myself, I know the sacrifices our service members make and the challenges many face when they return home. I am committed to strengthening support systems for California’s veterans, expanding access to mental health care, streamlining benefits, and creating real opportunities for stable housing and good-paying jobs. Our veterans gave their all for us, and I will make sure we stand with them every step of the way.
  • Expanding access to quality and affordable healthcare across the state. I believe healthcare is a right, not a privilege. No family should ever have to choose between paying a medical bill and putting food on the table. I will fight to expand access to affordable, quality healthcare across California—whether that means investing in community clinics, lowering the cost of prescription drugs, or improving preventive care. My goal is to make sure every Californian, no matter where they live, can get the care they need.
  • Promoting workforce development and job growth to strengthen California’s economy. I believe California’s greatest strength is our people, and I want to make sure everyone has the chance to succeed. That’s why I will prioritize workforce development, vocational training, and support for entrepreneurs and small businesses. By building stronger partnerships between schools, businesses, and trade programs, we can create good jobs, grow our economy, and keep opportunity within reach for every Californian.
I care deeply about addressing homelessness by increasing affordable housing and providing wraparound services. I also believe in improving public safety while building community trust, and expanding mental health and substance-use treatment. I see artificial intelligence and responsible oil development as powerful tools to create new jobs, drive innovation, and strengthen our economy. Above all, I’m committed to ensuring equity and opportunity so every Californian can thrive.
I look up to Jesus and try follow his example because He is the pillar of my faith.
For me, the most important qualities of an elected official are integrity, accountability, compassion, and courage. Integrity means staying true to the values I ran on and serving with honesty, even when no one is watching. Accountability means being transparent, open to criticism, and willing to explain decisions to the people I serve. Compassion is vital because policies are not just numbers or laws on paper, they affect real people and real families. And courage is necessary to make tough choices, stand up for what’s right, and lead even when it’s not the most popular path. I believe an elected official must be a servant leader, grounded in humility, who listens first and acts in the best interest of the community, not personal gain.
The core responsibilities of this office are to faithfully represent the people of California, advocate for their needs, and ensure government works effectively and equitably for all. That means developing policies that strengthen our economy, expand opportunity, and improve the quality of life for every Californian; whether through affordable housing, better healthcare, job creation, or education. It also means protecting civil rights, ensuring public safety, and preparing our state for the challenges of the future, from climate change to technological innovation. Beyond policymaking, the role demands being present and accessible, listening to communities directly, and turning those conversations into action. At its heart, this office is about public service, being a bridge between government and the people, and working every day to deliver solutions that honor their trust.
I want my legacy to be one of service, impact, and hope. I want to be remembered as a leader who put people first, who listened and acted with compassion, and who never shied away from tough challenges. My goal is to leave behind a California where veterans are fully supported, families have access to affordable healthcare, and every person has a fair shot at a good job and a decent home. I want to build a future where innovation, like artificial intelligence, and responsible energy development, including oil, are harnessed to create opportunity without leaving communities behind. Most of all, I want people to say I made their lives better and inspired others to serve with integrity and courage.
My first official & paid job was for Baskin Robbins Ice Cream chain and I don' recall how long I worked there.
The Bible is my favorite book because I always learn new truths from it.
I always admired Wonder Women as a child. She always came across as graceful, compassionate, and femininely strong.
It was a struggle raising kids in a split home. However, I appreciate the lessons learned.
One of the most moving experiences I’ve had was speaking with families at the Fentanyl Awareness and Action Summit. I met parents who had lost their children to fentanyl, and they shared how they turned their grief into advocacy through foundations like the Izaya Michael Foundation and the Lamont Myers Foundation. Their courage to speak out, educate others, and fight to save lives deeply touched me. It reminded me that behind every policy debate are real people, real pain, and real hope. Their strength motivates me to fight for stronger prevention, treatment, and awareness so no parent has to endure such a loss.
