Ellen Wedum was a 2012 Democratic candidate for District 34 of the New Mexico State Senate. Wedum graduated with a Bachelor's in Chemistry from the University of California-Berkeley, a Master's in Chemical Physics from the University of Oregon-Eugene, and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Purdue University.[1]

Wedum ran in the 2012 election for New Mexico State Senate District 34. She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on June 5, 2012. She was defeated by Ron Griggs in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[2][3]
