Gerald Bennett
Gerald "Jerry" Bennett is a former Republican member of the Montana House of Representatives, representing District 1 from 2009 to 2017.[1] Bennett served as a Majority Whip in the 2011-2012 session, and has resumed in the role beginning in the 2015 session.[2]
Bennett did not seek re-election to the Montana House of Representatives in 2016 because of term-limits.
Biography
Bennett's professional experience includes working as a small business owner.[3]

Elections for the Montana House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election took place on June 3, 2014, and a general election took place on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 10, 2014; minor party and independent candidates had until June 2, 2014, to file. Donald Coats was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Incumbent Jerry Bennett was unopposed in the Republican primary. Bennett defeated Coats in the general election.[10][11]

Bennett won re-election in the 2012 election for Montana House of Representatives, District 1. Bennett ran unopposed in the June 5 primary election and was unchallenged in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[12][13]
2010
On November 2, 2010, Bennett won election to the Montana House of Representatives, defeating Eileen Carney. He did not have any opposition in the June 8 primary.[14][15]
