A special election for the position of Georgia State Senate District 20 was called for December 1. The filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was November 4.[1]
The seat was vacant following Ross Tolleson's (R) resignation on November 1, 2015.[2]
Larry Walker (R) defeated Vivian Childs (R), Brooks Keisler (R), Jon Martin (R), James Pettis (R) and Mike Reece (R) in the special election.[3][4]
