Moffett ran for re-election for an at-large seat of the Cincinnati Board of Education in Ohio. She won in the general election on November 4, 2025.
Biography
Kareem Moffett was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. She received an associate degree in 1993, a bachelor's degree in 2004, and a Ph.D. in 2013, all from the University of Cincinnati. Moffett's professional experience includes being a math professor. She has been affiliated with the Cincinnati NAACP Executive Committee, the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association, and the Women in Engineering Advisory Committee at the University of Cincinnati.[1]

Four of seven seats on the Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education in Ohio were up for at-large general election on November 7, 2017. Three incumbents sought re-election. Incumbents Melanie Bates and Ericka Copeland-Dansby and newcomers Ryan Messer and Mike Moroski defeated incumbent Daniel Minera, former candidate Marcia A. Futel, and newcomers Jacqueline Amos, David Brenner, Gary Favors, Christine Fisher, Renee Hevia, Kareem Moffett, and Kathy Young.[2][3]

I have multiple degrees from the University of Cincinnati which portray the depth and breadth of my knowledge. I have earned an Associate of Applied Sciences in Chemical Engineering Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences (with a focus in Chemistry), a Master of Arts in Remedial Education and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Education with a Dissertation on Educating Urban African American students. I’ve spent the later half of my education focusing on the education of urban students.
