Rita Gruber
Rita Gruber was a judge for District 6 Position 1 of the Arkansas Court of Appeals. She assumed office on January 1, 2009. She left office on December 31, 2024.
Gruber did not seek re-election in 2024.
Gruber was appointed chief judge of the court in 2017 for a four-year term.
Education
Gruber received her B.A. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1973 and her J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law in 1979.[1]
Career
Before her election to the Arkansas Court of Appeals, Gruber served as a circuit judge for the Sixth Judicial District for 18 years. Before that she served as interim Pulaski County judge and practiced law in North Little Rock for 10 years.[1]

Gruber was elected to the Court of Appeals on May 20, 2008, after winning a race against incumbent Wendell Griffen.[3]
