Walter S. Felton was a judge for the Virginia Court of Appeals.[1] He was elected to the court by the Virginia General Assembly in 2002. He served as the chief judge of the court from 2006 to 2015.[2][3]

Education

Felton received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond in 1966 and his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law in 1969.[2]

Career

Before his judicial career, Felton served as the Virginia deputy attorney general, the deputy counselor to the Governor, and the deputy director of policy. He also previously taught law and served as a legislative counsel for the College of William and Mary.[4]
