In 2014, six incumbents sought re-election, and two were defeated. Of the general election races, two were contested. There were two successful Republican candidates, and six successful Democratic candidates.

Interesting races
- Two incumbents lost their seats in 2014. Temporary Judge Deloris Nibert of the Twenty-Sixth Family Circuit Court sought a permanent position that year. She faced two challengers: Richard Witt, a Republican, and David L. Hill, a Democrat. Nibert was eliminated in the primary by Witt, who then defeated Hill in the general election with 69.5% of the vote to Hill’s 30.4%.
- The other incumbent to lose was Kurt W. Hall, a Democrat on the Twenty-Sixth Judicial Circuit Court, who was defeated by Jacob E. Reger in the general election by a margin of 6.6%.
