In January 2015, Nevada swore in 12 new judges. Three gained their seats by defeating incumbents, while the remaining nine were elected in open races with no incumbent running.

Interesting races

  • There had not been a competitive election for the Nevada Supreme Court since 2008. In 2014, the terms of Justices Kris Pickering and Mark Gibbons were set to expire. Both filed for re-election. However, when the filing deadline passed on January 17 without any opponents entering the race, they were automatically re-elected. As a result, Pickering and Gibbons secured another six-year term beginning in 2015, without the need for campaigning.
