Wisconsin 2015 referral measures, legislative votes
The following tables detail how Wisconsin's state legislators voted on placing Question 1 on the April 7, 2015, ballot.
The one legislative referral on the April 7, 2015, ballot is a legislatively referred constitutional amendment. In order for the amendment to get placed on the ballot, a simple majority of the members of both houses of the Wisconsin Legislature needed to vote in the affirmative over two successive legislative sessions. However, an affirmative vote did not necessarily mean a legislator agreed with the stipulations laid out by the measure. Rather, it meant that the legislator wanted to place the issue on the ballot, so that constituents could vote on the issue.
Votes by chamber
The following are the votes in each chamber of the Wisconsin Legislature. During the first session, the legislation was known as Senate Joint Resolution 57.[1] In the second session, it was known as Senate Joint Resolution 2.[2][3]
