John Jenkins (independent) ran for election for Governor of Maine. Jenkins did not appear on the ballot for the general election on November 6, 2018.
Jenkins is the former mayor of Auburn, Maine. He was elected in 2007 and served until 2009. From 1996 to 1998, he was a member of the Maine State Senate. In 1993, he was elected mayor of Lewiston, Maine. Jenkins passed away on September 30, 2020.[1]
