Sharon Soorholtz Greer
Sharon Soorholtz Greer is a judge of the Iowa Court of Appeals. She assumed office in 2019. Her current term ends on December 31, 2026.
Soorholtz Greer ran for re-election for judge of the Iowa Court of Appeals. She won in the retention election on November 3, 2020.
Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) appointed Greer on April 27, 2019, to succeed Judge Christopher McDonald.[1]
Greer previously practiced law with Cartwright, Druker & Ryden in Marshalltown, Iowa.[1]
Education
Greer received a B.S., with distinction, in psychology and child development from Iowa State University in 1978. She obtained her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 1982. During her legal studies, Greer was a member of the Iowa Law Review.[2]
