John York (Federal magistrate judge)
John York is a magistrate judge of the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. He assumed office on March 8, 2019.
Biography
Education
York obtained a B.A. from Lambuth University in 1997 and a J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2003.[1]
Professional career
Before becoming a federal magistrate judge, York was a member of the firm Pentecost, Glenn, Mauldin & York, PLLC, where he was a civil and criminal litigator. York previously served as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge James D. Todd from 2003 to 2004.[1]
Judicial career
John York joined the Western District of Tennessee as a federal magistrate judge on March 8, 2019.[1]
