Patrice McClammy (Democratic Party) (also known as Penni) is a member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing District 76. She assumed office on November 17, 2021. Her current term ends on November 4, 2026.

McClammy (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the Alabama House of Representatives to represent District 76. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

McClammy won election to the Alabama House of Representatives to represent District 76 outright in the general election on March 1, 2022, after the Democratic primary and general election were canceled.

Biography

Patrice McClammy earned a B.A. in political science from Hampton University in 1997, an A.A. in legal studies from Faulkner University in 1999, a J.D. from Faulkner University in 2002, and a Ph.D. in public policy and administration from Florida State University in 2006.[1] McClammy's career experience includes owning Patrice E. McClammy, Attorney-At-Law, LLC.[1][2]

A special election for District 76 of the Alabama House of Representatives was called for March 1, 2022. A special election primary was called for November 16, 2021, but it was canceled. The candidate filing deadline was September 14, 2021, for major political parties and November 16, 2021, for independent and minor political parties. Both the primary and general elections were canceled after only one candidate filed for the race.[3]

The seat became vacant after Thad McClammy (D) passed away on August 21, 2021.[4]

The general election was canceled after Patrice "Penni" McClammy (D) was determined to be the only candidate who filed to run.[5]
