Greg White (Ohio)
Greg White is a former federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He was appointed to this position on March 1, 2008. White served until his retirement in 2016.[1]
Biography and Education
Judge White received a B.A. degree in criminal justice and police administration from Kent State University in 1973. He then received his J.D. degree from Cleveland Marshall College in 1976. In 1968 and 1969, he served in the U.S. Marines.[1]
Career
Judge White worked as the Prosecuting Attorney for Lorain County, Ohio for 22 years. During this time, from 1990 to 2001, he was a member of the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission. Before becoming a magistrate judge, he worked as the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio. He also served on the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee; the Law Enforcement Coordinating, Victim, and Community Issues subcommittee; the Terrorism and National Security, the Border Issues; and the Violent Crime subcommittees.[1]
