Jeffrey Bailey was a 2018 Republican special election candidate for Second Bristol District of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Bailey was defeated in the primary election on March 6, 2018.[1]

Biography
Bailey has served as Senior Pastor at the Attleboro Grace Baptist Church.[3]

2018
A special election for the office of Massachusetts House of Representatives Second Bristol District was held on April 3, 2018. The primary election took place on March 6, 2018. Candidates had until January 23, 2018, to turn in nomination papers with local officials. Certified nomination papers had to be filed with the secretary of state by January 30, 2018.[4]
In November 2017, state Rep. Paul Heroux (D) announced that he would resign from the state House effective January 2, 2018, in order to become the mayor of Attleboro.[5]
James Hawkins (D) defeated Julie Hall (R) in the general election. Hawkins defeated Paulo George Salgueiro Jr. and Tyler Waterman in the Democratic primary election, while Hall defeated Jeffrey Bailey to win the Republican nomination.[6][7][8]

2014
Elections for the Massachusetts House of Representatives took place in 2014. A primary election was held on September 9, 2014, and a general election was held on November 4, 2014. The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was June 3, 2014. Incumbent Paul Heroux was unopposed in the Democratic primary. Bert Buckley defeated Jeffrey Bailey in the Republican primary. Heroux defeated Buckley in the general election.[9]

2012
Bailey ran in the 2012 election for Massachusetts State Senate Bristol and Norfolk District. He ran unopposed in the September 6 Republican primary and was defeated by incumbent James Timilty (D) in the general election, which took place on November 6, 2012.[10][11]
