The signature filing deadline for candidates wishing to run in this election was March 7, 2014. Incumbent Steve Fox (D) and Tom Lackey (R) defeated Kermit F. Franklin (D), JD Kennedy (R) and Suzette M. Martinez (R) in the blanket primary. Lackey defeated Fox in the general election.[1][2][3]
